I came across this website in a round-about fashion. See, I have this odd need to read Neise.com. It's the weblog of a guy named Drew Neise. Drew attends UWEC as well, but I've managed to never meet him. Which is a good thing.
Why is this a good thing? Because he whines more than anyone I've ever met. I mean, this guy really hates his life... Since I have a hard time feeling sorry for an upperclass white kid, I have a hard time giving a damn about Drew's personal issues.
Yet I continue to read. It's kind of like a car crash that way.
Anywho, enough about Drew Niese. The reason I ran across "D'Cyple's Official Website" is because, well, Drew runs it. That's right, whiney white boy runs a site for a guy who's calling himself "D'Cyple". Well, D'Cyple fancies himself a rapper. Besides the obvious fact that D'Cyple is whiter than Wonder Bread, I have a hard time believing that he's really experienced inner city culture. Why? Well, to take an excerpt from D's bio: He grew up in Port Edwards, a small town of less than 2,000 people. Like any residential area of such size, the local culture was driven by school events, which in turn were driven by student athletics. Born with acute chronic asthma, one of the first hurdles that D'cyple ran into were his own lungs, which kept him from playing sports at John Edwards school. So, yah, D's a white boy with asthma from a town who's entire population could have fit in my old High School's Gymnasium.
That just screams Hard Core Gangsta', yo.
Besides the obvious issues relative to his legitimacy as a "Rap Artist", this website just sucks too. From the annoying 'Splash Page' (I just hate those personally), to the BROKEN Javascript tags (what's that Drew? Tired of everything being BROKEN? Fix your damned Javascript as the first step!)... this website screams "suck". Oh yeah, that and the "hard core" quotes all over the bio: "Check me out no doubt the D apostrophe .. known to get you high like THC..." You should lay off the pot, D'Cyple... you know, it might aggravate your asthma.

Mr. Traegorn,
I see you've added dcyple.com to your "Craptacular web" section, and even managed to take a few cheap shots at me while you were at it. Bueno.
Apparently, it's in your head that in order for someone to be a proponent of rap music, they have to be black, or as you so eloquently put it, "Hard Core Gangsta'". This leads me to believe that you're either stupid, misguided, or a healthy combination of the two. In any case, rap is lyrical form of self-expression that, despite what you may think, isn't limited or exclusive to any race or environment. Luckily, you are not the authority on such things. Also, bonus points for you for taking shots at someone because of what their skin color is (or isn't).
And I'm glad you enjoy reading my blog. It IS a little weird having a total stranger fascinated with me, but whatever, just shut your damn mouth. And get a hobby besides writing commentary on people and things you don't know shit about.

...I am mostly amused by the fact that someone
who has never experienced true economic
hardship in life feels that they are in touch with "the
streets".
It's not an issue of race - as someone who did
grow up in a fairly good sized city, I have met
caucasion youths who grew up in the inner city...
but they are few, and not that common.
Rap, as I've always seen it, is a form of expression
rooted in the hardships of the lower class,
struggling through a world of violence. Somehow,
the experiences of a small town asthmatic who is
not a minority do not seem to be those of a person
who could possibly speak from that voice.
Oh, and the part where total strangers read your
website? You never get used to that. I still get
bewildered every time I get recognized from my
site.

Its just sad that people like you wanna try to put someone down for what they do. I may not be black and I may not have experienced murders and shit that you think qualifies someone as a "real" rap artist, but I've dealt with enough and it amazes me that people that don't know me waste their time on talking shit about me. You guys have alot of growing up to do if you think its about race and where you live, people go through different things and if you can't see that, then you're more stupid than I thought, but thats okay, cuz I don't care about people like you, theres a word for it "HATERS" and thats what you seem to be along with rest of your friends dissing me. Your opinion, since you are no one, means nothing. Why are you no one? Because I've seen PEUMC.org. A little 1998? Yeah. Mouseovers are annoying, by the way. Oh, and it helps if your menu options WORK. I don't think you'll find a single 404 error if you click a link in my site's menu. A "coming soon" placeholder is usually the professional choice in case of an undeveloped area - or just not adding the menu option at ALL until the area of the site is done.
And the Rhinelander pic is SUPPOSED to be over-exposed. That's the point... yeesh. For pete's sake, your criticizing photos I took for fun at 640x480 with a crappy camera. It's not like I was even trying.
What am I going to end up doing? Well, I'm majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Computer Science. I disagree with you on the appearance of my website, as I know people who like it (and the fact that I make sure the whole site is ONLINE at any given time) - since you can't see my source code, your opinions of my CGI scripts mean NOTHING.
