Trae Dorn Web Design P   o   r   t   f   o   l   i   o The following portfolio is a selection of a few projects I have done over the years. All listed here are sites I built independently, and do not reflect any work I've done professionally for other design houses.
Ongoing Work				TRHOnline.com TRHOnline.com is my personal web project, running a custom built content management system. It also has a blog system for its users (integrated with the popular PHPBB2 system to manage its users). It is coded in a combination of PHP and Perl with a MySQL backend. All design and graphics for the website are original, and designed specifically for TRHOnline.com NoBrandCon 2008 Website In 2007 I took over the website for No Brand Con, Wisconsin's Premiere Anime Convention. I updated, maintained, and edited the custom built PHP/MySQL Backend, which includes their Staff System and Attendee/Vendor Registration Records. I redid the entire backend for the public website, and based the front end off of the previous developer's template.
Older Work				The Flip Side of UWEC From May '04 until May '06, I was the webmaster for The Flip Side of UWEC, the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire's Alternative press.  I redesigned the site from the ground up to be almost entirely dynamic, writing the software for article and issue management from scratch.  It was designed to provide easy access to the current issue, as well as easy access to any back issues. The archived version here is one of the earlier designs used during my tenure. Books Not Bush In Fall of 2004 I was hired by the Progressive Student Association of UWEC  to create and maintain the website for their "Books Not Bush" national rally.  As the project was a small site, I used a simple design which would load quickly.  I also designed the logo for the rally (seen featured on the archived version of the site).
Ancient Work				TRHOnline.com- Previous Look This is an older look for TRHOnline.com that I designed back in Spring 2002.  This was designed to be a clean, simple look.  The nice thing about this layout is that most design effects are done in the HTML and not image files, reducing load time to hardly anything.  The only reason this appearance was abandoned was because it was a little too clean for the content of the site, and appeared dated by 2004.
