Well, when Simon Furman progressed from writing the UK to writing the US comic, he encorporated the Primus as God origin into the comics, of course, in doing so, the UK continuity went kinda weird from then on.
I grew up more on the English comics (and the US comics reprinted withing) than I did with the original G1 Cartoon. The UK drawn strips were possibly Transformers best for the first 200 so issues.
I've not bought a Transformers toy since the 80s. I was only really watching the cartoon and reading the comics for nostalgia value. I remember when I was 16 having a big hate-on for Beast Machines simply because of the contradictions to the original series, then I realised that the story was more important than continuity.
But Michael Bay directing Transformers, it worries me, but I hope it'll be a good film. Although I know the fanboys will be bitching like little bitch things.
For me, I always found the ones who griped about the 'kiddy elements' such as Daniel or Wheelie or the kids in Armada to be the ones who deserved a slap.

Well, good timing. I just finally called time on fanfiction writing myself only earlier this week. Never really satisfied me as it did when I actually finished a story of my own creation. Plus, it was very rarely I could actually enjoy it. Now I'm focused on what I want to write with what I create.
I think I know what she means. I get worried at times about the same thing. I don't want people to think of me as just 'Reanna's boyfriend' when I'm in America, I want people to be able to think of me as a seperate entity who also functions as Reanna's boyfriend.
I know how you feel. A long distance relationship is a very difficult, painful thing to maintaint. But if it is possible for you to succeed, it is a fantastic thing to be with that someone finally.
To me, student politics invariably descends into being one big, sodding popularity contest. People vote for their friends and don't actually think about who they should be voting for.
Maybe it's different over there and Student Council's actually DO stuff. But seriously, Aaron Olson sounds like a total ****head, kind of person I would just really not like. Eventually the real world will hopefully destroy him.
Since someone I knew at Uni (who I detested and she detested me, so at least we had symmetry) was running, I kept getting stick from friends of mine to vote for her. Even though she was one of those people you shouldn't EVER give power to. I voted with my heart (and voted for other people) and she didn't get in, maybe the system works...Maybe no-one really gives a toss about student politics anymore.
