Thankfully, even when I didn't get my badge in the mail for ACEN last year, it only took about 5 minutes to get it, after another 5 of asking "where do I go?". Hooray for not having to be in the regular line, and being there early enough before everyone else.

You know, I've never been to Acen? I've done big cons - heck, my first con was a Gen Con back when I was just a wee Trae, and my first experience as a con volunteer was a Gen Con as well.

But I've never been to Acen.

After Gen Con left Milwaukee, I made a conscious decision to just do small and medium sized cons... and that's been my life for a decade.
