Karma now a requirement to post a blog entry.

After constant fighting with spammers on the TRHBlog system, I have instituted a measure to prevent spam entries.

You must now have a positive Karma score to post a blog entry.

It's only set to a value of one, so any user of the blog system right now should not have a problem. I said years ago that Karma would actually do something more than be a trophy on this site...

...well guess what. It is now, as a defensive manner against Spam.

I don't think it's that great of an idea since no one is participating in the forums so trying to build up karma to make a blog almost becomes spam in itself...

These forums are "slow" forums. We post slowly over time. Frankly, the blog system was an experiment in expanding my custom blog software to other people, but I spent so much time defending it from spammers that this requirement is necessary.

TRHOnline's a side project for me - not my full time job. I can only do so much.
