The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, and the Role of the US
By Jessica Ebert
Since the start of Intifada II in 2000, American newspapers, televisions, and magazines have shown the blood-streaked faces of Islamic fundamentalist suicide bombers dedicated to killing Israelis. What we don't hear about is the extreme living conditions for those Palestinians under Israeli occupation.

Wal-Mart and Garbage
By Justin Greif
Unlike its underscale Disney counterpart, Main Street is slowly loosing the fight against massive retailers, with Wal-Mart leading the way. The world's largest company likes to build its enormous stores on the outskirts of small/medium-sized towns. One obvious reason for this is the cheap land, but another, perhaps unintended, result of this is that shoppers are drawn as far away from downtown as possible.

By Justin Otto
For the sake of humanity, I ask youž right now, to pause and think about someone you love romantically. Perhaps you know them well. Perhaps it is from a distance. Stop right now and think about them. Over time, others would change the stories behind these occurrences to obtain the two things human beings strive for the most, money and power.

What in the...?
By Justin Greif
Maybe Gods have existed since humans first had the ability to think, perhaps because they were not ready to be exposed to the idea of one God, Allah, whatever, who has existed for all time. If God created the universe and everything in it, he/she therefore has ultimate power. How can one discredit the honest work of preachers by saying they lust for money and power?

Shouldn't Bike Parking Be Plowed Too?
By Jeremy Gragert
Bike parking areas on campus are never plowed or shoveled by the University. Many days after the snow falls and after the grounds crews have plowed in everyone's cars in the parking lots, (and dusted clean the sidewalks) they feel their jobs are done. They don't seem to notice the hundreds of bikes they buried behind mountains of snow, even if they had run over a bike or two in the process

Game Freaks: Yoshi's Island
By Matthew White and Matt Biedermann
Matt W. and Matt B. review the classic old-school SNES/Superfamicom title "Yoshi's Island" in this installment of their finally named column. Last time they wrote about a game that they both are very fond of, so this time they wrote about a game that they have greatly differing opinions of (as you will see).
