Episode 1: Serenity
Episode 1: SerenityIn this original pilot episode, the crew transports passengers and they try to make their way to another planet to sell goods they salvaged from a wrecked ship.

Their efforts are impeded, though, when Wash and Mal realize that there is an undercover alliance fed on Serenity... and not all of their passengers are what they seem.

Episode 2: The Train JobThe crew of Serenity take a job from a very dangerous man named Niska. The job is to rob a train on a border planet. Complications ensue on the job, and not much seems to go right.

...and things get even worse when they discover what the cargo they've come to steal actually is.
Episode 3: Bushwhacked
Episode 3: BushwhackedThe crew of Serenity run across a derelict ship that had been bound for a settlement. Seemingly abandoned, the mystery grows deeper when the lone survivor reveals a terrifying truth: that the ship had been hit by Reavers.

...and things get even more complicated when the Alliance shows up.

Episode 4: ShindigIn order to secure a job transporting cargo off-planet for a client, Mal attends a social event. Coincidentally, the exact same event where Inara is attending with one of her regular clients, Atherton.

When some angry words are exchanged after a dance with Inara, Mal accidentally challenges Atherton to a swordfight to defend her honor.
Episode 5: Safe
Episode 5: SafeWhile visiting an outlying planet, Simon and River are kidnapped by a group of isolated, local villagers in need of a doctor.

Meanwhile, the rest of the crew are forced to seek medical help from an unlikely source when one of their own is shot in a gunfight when their delivery goes south.
